For our “Interacting in the Workplace” psychology class, we had to create a card game where the players can learn about different personality types, personality traits and learn about different personality assessments. Our team decided to focus on 3 main personality assessments: the Meyers-Briggs personality test, the DISC assessment, and the Big 5 personality traits.
To play the game, one player must put a card to their forehead that has a psychology- related term on it. The other players have three Fact Cards that are based on the different personality assessments. They have to give hints by only using the information given on their Fact Cards. Additionally, there is a psychology manual in the game that explains how personality traits develop, gives information on the three personality assessments, and allows the players to fill out the assessments themselves to learn more about their own personality.
One challenge our team had was how to incorporate a learning component into the game so players could learn more about personality types and traits.
The solution was to create a manual that would inform the player on three different personality assessments and provide a QR code. The QR code would be generated in Indesign and would lead the player to the official sites of each personality assessment, where they can fill out the assessment themselves to learn more about their personality.
