Book Dusk Jacket

This assignment's requirement was to create 3 book dusk jacket cover designs. The designs are for 3 different books but need to have design features that are similar to ne another, creating a uniformity among the 3 books.

The books i decided to redesign were 3 of my all time favourite books:

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanith

When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead

One of the challenges I faced was in creating a unified design that would be similar enough to know that they belong in the same collection, but unique enough to reflect each plot of the book

The solution was to create a design where each book has a prominent border, two icons (one at the top and one at the bottom of the cover), and a constrasting colour scheme. However, the design of those elements would differ, making each dusk jacket unique.
